Rona Schwarz

I’m Rona Schwarz, a fine-art photographer based in West Lafayette, Indiana. I’ve always had a strong interest in art and design, and a love of nature and the outdoors. Photography has allowed me to combine both passions: to express my creativity while connecting with the natural world.

Although I’ve been a photographer most of my life, it hasn’t been my full-time job until recently. I hold a Ph.D. and M.S. from Purdue University. I was on the staff of Purdue for over 25 years holding positions in both the financial and academic areas. Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, I retired from my position as a human development researcher and administrator in June, 2009.

Since retirement, I’ve had an exhibition at the Tippecanoe Arts Federation and was featured in a Gallery Walk 2013 in downtown, Lafayette. I am a member of NANPA (North American Nature Photography Association), the National Audubon Society, IPPG (Indianapolis Professional Photographers Guild), KelbyOne, and the Riviera Camera Club in Indianapolis. My work is represented by the Danita Delimont Stock Photography Agency.
